B"H Parshath Bo By Yitz Kolakowski With the recent passing of HaRav Mordechai Gifter, ztk"l, it is k'dai to discuss a vort of the Rosh Yeshivah. Chazal teach that when one says a dvar Torah in the name of the deceased, their lips move in the kever. In Parshas Bo, we read about the Korban Pesach, the Paschal Lamb. The Parsha states that it is forbidden to add any foreign substance to this offering, even water. Just the same, notes Rav Gifter, it is forbidden to add any foreign substance or thoughts to our Avodas HaShem. For our Torah and Avodah to be perfect, they must be complete and without any other ingredients. This is indeed a great yesod, which needs no further explaination. Gut Shabbos
